The Norwegian Glacier Museum opens its doors with a new exhibition this season
Have you heard about the plane that crashed on Bøyabreen in 1972? We are opening a new exhibition about the discovery of the wreckage.
The museum presents “The Plane in Bøyabreen - 49 Years in the Ice”. This exhibition tells the story of the plane and the discovery of the wreckage that was made in 2021.
In addition, we will be showing the spectacular panoramic film about Jostedalsbreen National Park, and you shouldn't miss our interactive and holistic climate exhibition.
Opening hours are 10:00 - 16:00 every day in April and May. Throughout the summer (June, July, August) we are open every day 09:00 - 19:00. In September and October the opening hours are the same as in April and May. For visits outside of regular opening hours, visits for groups and on special occasions are possible. Please ask us!
