Vettisløpet 2026
The traditional Vettisløpet will take place in Utladalen on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Registration via EQtiming's solution. Here it is possible to register for both fitness and active classes.
Start :
Active classes: Sunday, May 31st at 1:00 PM
Trim: from 10:00
Starting fee: NOK 100 for the fitness class, NOK 150 for active 12-17 year olds and NOK 250 for active 18-99 year olds.
NB! A one-time license fee of NOK 20 will be added to all registrations (as long as you do not already have a license).
We encourage everyone to register in advance as the price increases to NOK 300 on race day.

Barn Blues in Avdalen 2026
Årdal blues group invites you to Fjøsblues at Avdal farm 380 m above sea level. There will be a quiz from approximately 7:00 PM, and simple food and drinks will be served throughout the evening. Ticket NOK 300,- per person.
For overnight stays in bed: book at www.avdalen.no or call 905 08 395.
You can also bring a sleeping bag/tent and set up the tent in the designated spot when you arrive.
Sling City Days 2026
Slingsbydagane 2026 - Six summits in six days!
In connection with the Slingsby Days 2026, a Basecamp will be established outside the Utladalen National Park Center.
Basecamp 1 – Utladalen National Park Center (July 17–22):
NOK 125 per person / NOK 50 per child per night
Including shower and toilet

(Must bring your own tent)
On Saturday, July 18, several activities will be organized at our center: The café and exhibition space are open, and the center's staff is available for guiding and advising children and adults about what the area has to offer - including what Slingsby and other famous mountain and nature figures did here.

Walking seminar 2026: The paradox of nature
The 2026 hiking seminar will be titled Naturparadoxset , after the book by journalist and author Marit Beate Kasin. Kasin will travel to Årdal to join the hiking tour and to give a lecture at the Utladalen National Park Center about the work on her book.

Official opening of Utladalen National Park Center
Welcome to the official opening of a new exhibition at Utladalen National Park Center!

Time: 11:00 AM
Extensive work has been carried out in Utladalen over the past year. In January last year, Utladalen Naturhus authorization as a national park visitor center, and has since worked to realize Utladalen nasjonalparksenter AS has been a top priority. It is a pleasure for us to celebrate that a new exhibition is now in place. We hope you will celebrate with us.
Program:
- Opening of new exhibition at 11:00 by Aleksander Øren Heen and mayor Christian Sønstlien
- Words for the day by Rigmor Solem (board member) and Torunn Todal Laberg (chairman of SUN)
It will be easy to serve.
After the opening ceremony, we hope people will take advantage of some time in Utladalen, either by staying at the national park center or by hiking into the valley.

You can also show up without registering, but you cannot expect to be served. The café will still be open for those who want to buy something to eat.
